Role: Systems Engineer
Location: Reston, Virginia
Salary: Up to $250,000

Role and Responsibility

As a Systems Engineer you will contribute toward the development and delivery of capabilities that will impact important customer missions. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment both individually, and as a part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills, a solid foundation in systems engineering, and 'systems thinking' throughout the product life cycle is required. A Proven ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to effectively describe the relevant technical approach. The candidate will regularly interface with the customer, providing support and recommendations to further the assigned project through capability development, subsequent deployment and operation and maintenance phases.

Required from you:

* TOP SECRET SCI clearance with a government approved Full Scope Polygraph.
* Experience developing and analyzing technical requirements, performing trade studies, and allocating functions from the overall system to lower-level subsystems and components.
* Experience defining end-to-end performance and functionality of communications systems, consistent with mission needs and CONOPS.
* Experience leading teams through the Systems Engineering Process
* Proven ability to lead and execute major design reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
* A team player with the demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, management, and peers.
* Experience with system requirements document development, statements of work, system requirement design/implementation, test plans, and test documents.
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with at least 10 years total experience. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered with a minimum of 15 years total experience.
* Willing to perform 20% CONUS/OCONUS travel
